Tamarack Lane- By: John J Mc user profileDescription: Tamarack Lane is a weekly webcomic that will eventually be collected into books. The Premise: Tamarack Lane is the last known sanctuary for rare animals and magical creatures. Sam Harvey has just inherited the role of The Caretaker after his beloved grandmother Rose has passed away. Now Sam has to recover his forgotten past and decide if he has what it takes to be in charge of a land that is threatened by many outside forces. It's a fantasy but it has comedy, drama and social commentary peppered throughout. I don't think there is anything quite like it out there so please come by and visit. Tell me what you think, and if you are so inclined, stay awhile. Welcome! |

CHLOE- By: Hans Rickheit user profileDescription: The Xeric-Winning debut graphic novel by Hans Rickheit, creator of the critically renowned The Squirrel Machine. Chloe is an estranged teenager living in a stifling rural New England town. After meeting an eccentric dwarfish hermit, she begins a descent into impossible visionary landscapes, sexual deviancy, and the forbidden realms of The Under-Brain. Contained in this early effort are the first explorations of the obsessive themes that continue to overflow in Rickheit's comics output: strange biological couplings, subconscious explorations and unspeakable erotic experiments. |

ECTOPIARY- By: Hans Rickheit user profileDescription: ECTOPIARY is a graphic novel in the making. I expect it will be about 600 pages in length when completed. ECTOPIARY does not fit neatly into any known genre. At the moment, I fancy calling it "science fiction." I may change my mind tomorrow. Readers familiar with my other comics are encouraged to suggest other categories to file this critter. The story, like most of my other comics, is cumulative in nature. Patience is suggested for the casual reader, as the speed of narrative is prodded by the needs of the story and not by the dictates of weekly installments. |

Lucy the Octopus- By: Richy K. Chandler user profileDescription: Lucy the Octopus is a weekly webcomic about a teenage girl who happens to be an octopus. Lucy is staggeringly unpopular both at home and school. Still our heroine soldiers on, armed with a guitar, a pufferfish and the occasional Chunky Muffin shake. “An endlessly inventive exploration of the possibilities of the newspaper strip form. Inventive and witty, with a colourful cast of characters, Lucy the Octopus remains one of the most engaging UK originated webcomics out there.” Andy Oliver, Broken Frontier “Chandler delivering some really clever and classic comedy strips. It may look sweet and silly, but it’s way cleverer and better than that.” Richard Bruton, Forbidden Planet Blog |
